BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Prairie View A&M will play South Carolina State in the HBCU National Championship on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.

The Panthers coming off their first SWAC Championship since 2009 after defeating Jackson State 23-21. Prairie View now has a chance to capture their first National Championship since 1964.

Head coach Tremaine Jackson said at the start of this season that his team would be in this position. Jackson in his first year with the Panthers, previously coached at Valdosta State where he led the Blazers to the Division II Nationals Championship game.
