COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCSC) — Law enforcement agencies seized 30,000 pounds of illegal drug products this week during a joint operation targeting South Carolina businesses that were openly selling illicit substances.

The operation, called “Operation Ganjapreneur,” involved months of planning between state, federal and local agencies. Authorities raided six warehouses, six homes, two storage units and one retail business in the Midlands.

“This is a very robust operation. These people were knowingly, knowingly selling something they knew was illegal here in South Carolina with the intent of profiting from it, and they were targeting minor children,” South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson said.
