New Delhi: The Assam Cricket Association has suspended four players, Amit Sinha, Ishan Ahmed, Aman Tripathi and Abhishek Thakur, with immediate effect after allegations emerged against them that they were involved in corrupt practices relating to cricket.
An FIR has been filed at the Crime Branch in Guwahati against all four players on Friday, December 12. The four cricketers are accused of attempting to influence and instigate other Assam team players, who took part in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025 held in Lucknow.
After the emergence of these allegations, BCCI’s Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU) conducted an enquiry. The association has also initiated criminal proceedings against the four players.
