Thrissur: The Thrissur Municipal Corporation remains a major focus as Kerala prepares to announce the results of the local body elections on Saturday. Polling was held for grama panchayats, municipalities and municipal corporations in two phases across all 14 districts. Counting began with postal ballots, after which officials will proceed to count votes recorded on electronic voting machines.

Voting in Thrissur was held in the first phase on December 11, along with Kasaragod, Kannur, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Wayanad and Palakkad.
