Kollam: Kollam Municipal Corporation remains the key point of attention as Kerala gets ready to announce the results of the local body elections today. The state voted across grama panchayats, municipalities and municipal corporations in two phases covering all 14 districts. Counting will begin at 8 am, starting with postal ballots before officials move to the Electronic Voting Machines.

Voting in Kollam took place in the first phase on December 9, alongside Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Idukki and Ernakulam.

The second phase on December 11 involved Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Wayanad, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod.
