MADISON (WKOW) — The new women's soccer team coming to Madison has unveiled its name and logo. The team, now known as 'Rally Madison,' presented a logo rich with symbolism.
The logo features a yellow rose, a nod to the suffragette movement of 1919 when Wisconsin became the first state to ratify the 19th Amendment, giving women the right to vote.
It also reflects the city's geography.
"The crown jewel, the capital diamond, a symbol of the Four Lakes pulled from the Madison flag at the top of the crown," said Conor Caloia, club COO.
The team plans to give back to the city with each game they play.
"Our goal is for Rally Madison FC to be a pillar in our community and to serve as a driving force for progress across girls soccer and Madison," said staff member Alex Torres.
