OMAHA, Neb. —
The UNO baseball team is busy making spirits bright this holiday season.
On Thursday, they showed up at Methodist Hospital with swag bags full of baseball merch for patients.
They also signed a ball here and there.
The hospital said the visit highlighted their unique partnership and let the players experience the incredible work happening in their hospital.
"I think our coaches just really want us to get involved into the community and find ways to give back to people, maybe find new supporters or just find ways to lift up the community around our campus," said Eli Hoerner.
The Mavs also hosted a giving day at the mall.
Hoerner said that his coaches wanted the players to get involved in the community and find ways to give back to people.
