LEXINGTON, Ky. —

Creighton and Kentucky enter Saturday’s Elite 8 showdown riding two of the longest active win streaks in the nation, both unbeaten since mid-September.

The teams are also the only programs this season to push top-ranked Nebraska to five sets, setting the stage for a high-level Regional Final in Lexington.

Kentucky, undefeated in SEC play, is ranked No. 2 in the nation, but Creighton head coach Brian Rosen believes his team’s experience against elite competition has narrowed the gap.

“It’s easy to look at teams like Kentucky or Nebraska and think they’re unbeatable,” Rosen said. “But when you’ve played similar teams and competed at that level, it makes them more human.”
