HINDMAN, Ky. (WYMT) - The penultimate night of the 2025 WYMT Food City Mountain Basketball Classic wrapped up on Friday.
In the first game, Paintsville took care of business against Perry Co. Central, 64-36 in the girls’ consolation game.
With the victory, the Lady Tigers won their first-ever WYMT Food City Mountain Classic Tournament game in school history.
Game two saw Knott Co. Central hold off Pike Co. Central to advance to the Boys’ Championship with a 59-52 victory.
The Patriots were fueled by Connor Napier, who had a team-high 20 points.
North Laurel and Hazard brought the curtain down on the night, with the Jaguars coming back to defeat the Bulldogs in overtime, 54-43.
