Millions of Monzo customers across the UK will see a significant change hit their app just days before Christmas. The digital banking service confirmed that it's scrapping one of its biggest features and replacing it with a new service entirely.

The Monzo app's Summary feature provides customers with the opportunity to get a simple and quick overview of their current finances on their account while helping them budget more easily. It works by combining a customer's income, scheduled payments, bills, current spending, and money put in pots or savings accounts, then providing an overview of how much real spending money a customer has.
