Jaden Black accomplished much during his first season of high school football at George Washington.

The firsts flew by: first touchdown, first 100-yard game, first 200-yard performance, first multi-touchdown game and first game-winning score, all before turning 15 years old.

Black added another first to his freshman resume Saturday as he was named both the Gazette-Mail All-Kanawha Valley Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year for his impressive freshman season.

The George Washington running back recorded 1,745 yards of offense and 29 touchdowns.

The majority of his production came in the run game, carrying the ball 237 times for 1,596 yards and 26 touchdowns.
