Public Works crews in Peoria are finishing up residential snow removal routes today as they prepare for another winter storm expected to hit the area on Saturday. According to current forecasts, snowfall is predicted to begin between 6 and 9 a.m. and continue through the evening, with total accumulation estimated at 3 to 6 inches.
The City of Peoria Snowfighters will continue working in 12-hour shifts around the clock until further notice. After A-Shift crews complete their work on residential streets today, B-Shift crews will spend the night inspecting and preparing equipment for the incoming storm. They will also address any problem areas that may arise overnight.
