A teenager has been arrested after a series of incidents where women out walking or running were victims of alleged indecent exposures.
Between May and December 2025, officers from Devon and Cornwall Police received eight reports of a person flashing women out exercising. Now a 16-year-old local boy has been arrested on suspicion of being involved and has been released on bail while enquiries continue.
The incidents were said to have happened in Falmouth and Helston, with one report of an incident in an alleyway behind Falmouth Fire Station.
Inspector Rick Milburn said: “We appreciate that these incidents have been causing concern within the communities around Falmouth and Helston. Officers have investigated each report leading to a suspect being identified and an arrest being made today by the Falmouth and Helston Police Neighbourhood Team.
"The lengthy and detailed investigation has been carried out in conjunction with our local partner agencies and we’d like to thank them for their support. We want people to feel safe where they live and encourage anyone who has seen any suspicious or inappropriate behaviour to report it via 101 or our website or 999 in case of an emergency."
Anybody with information which could support the ongoing investigation is asked to report it via 50250247276.
