Michael Ma, your decision to leave the Conservative Party so soon after being elected raises serious concerns about accountability in our political system. You ran twice as a Conservative, received support from the party, and were elected by constituents who believed they were choosing a Conservative representative. To cross the floor less than six months later understandably feels like a betrayal of that mandate. If your intention is to align with the Liberal Party, the principled approach would be to resign your seat and seek a new mandate through a byelection. Your constituents deserve the opportunity to confirm whether they support this change. I guess now that you are Liberal, principles don’t matter. Situations like this contribute to growing frustration and division
