In a historic first, the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has emerged as the single largest political force in the Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation, reaching the halfway mark in the newly expanded 101-member civic body.

LDF finished second with 29 seats.
UDF won 19 wards, while independent candidates secured 2 wards.
UDF also won the Palayam ward , marking a key victory.
BJP’s R Sreelekha , a retired IPS officer and the first woman in the Kerala cadre, won from the Sasthamangalam division .
