INDIANAPOLIS — An ISP police trooper is left injured after being rear-ended in a crash on Interstate 465 early Saturday morning.

Indiana State Police said troopers responded to a crash on Interstate 465, near the Allisonville exit, in Indianapolis just after 4 a.m. Dec. 13.

Crews arrived on scene to find a two-vehicle crash involving an ISP police cruiser and another vehicle.

ISP said the other vehicle rear-ended the police cruiser, and the trooper suffered "non-life threatening injuries" and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

It's currently unclear if the driver of the other vehicle suffered any injuries, however, ISP confirmed to 13News that the driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
