The Sarnia Sting haven’t won many games lately, but when they do, it’s dramatic.
The Sting snapped their three-game skid Friday by rallying for a 3-2 shootout win over the Guelph Storm in front of 4,688 at the Sleeman Centre.
Easton Walos scored the lone goal in a four-round shootout and Patrick Quinlan made 30 saves for only the third Sting win in 12 games. Two wins came in shootouts and the other was in overtime.
Ryan Brown and Cameron Aucoin scored in regulation as the Sting erased a pair of one-goal deficits to end an 11-game road losing streak.
Brown made a game-saving block in front of an open net late in overtime. He assisted on Aucoin’s tying goal as well.
The Sting visit the Flint Firebirds Saturday before hosting the Storm in a rematch Sunday at Progressive Auto Sales Arena
