Former Dancing With The Stars professional dancer Maks Chmerkovskiy revealed that one of the main reasons that he wouldn't return to the show is partially due to how big of a role social media now plays in winning, and he's right that the celebrity dance competition series has changed forever because of it. Maks competed for 17 seasons on Dancing With The Stars , including seasons 2-5, 7-15, 18, and 23-25. He won season 18 with his celebrity dance partner, Meryl Davis.

During his time on Dancing With The Stars , Maks was known as "the bad boy of the ballroom" because of his outspoken demeanor.
