A Bengaluru woman who had been married for 15 years and has a 12-year-old son has allegedly eloped with a police constable, prompting her husband to lodge a complaint and leading to the constable’s suspension, police officials said on Friday.

According to the complaint, the woman, identified as Monika, left her matrimonial home and disappeared with Raghavendra, a police constable attached to the HSR Layout police station, where he served as a Hoysala patrol driver. The incident came to light after the woman’s husband approached the Chandra Layout police station, alleging that she had left the house along with valuables and cash.
