This weekend's weather warning puts a yellow alert over the Glasgow area for rain starting at 12pm today (December 13) until 11.59pm on Sunday, according to the Met Office's updated forecast. But with areas in Ayrshire and South Lanarkshire under a more severe amber rain alert tomorrow (December 14), police have now issued official advice for those in the warning zones.

Police Scotland said: "Police travel advice has been issued ahead of the Amber weather warning tomorrow, Sunday, 14 December, 2025, which is expected to bring heavy rain to south west Scotland and Strathclyde.
