Imight be a new face to the outdoor buffs in the region, but don’t worry — I’m not new to the outdoors. I have long been infatuated with the outdoors and appreciate what it has offered me over the years.

Let me introduce myself. Up front, I’m not from these parts — although you might recognize my name. Originally from California, I spent my high school and college years in Utah before moving to Idaho. And then in 2019, my wife and I ventured to North Dakota for the first time when I became editor of the Grand Forks Herald sister publication Prairie Business — and fell in love with the Upper Midwest and its rugged outdoors.
