Several Norfolk County groups are opening their doors and hearts, offering those in need free Christmas Day meals.

“We believe that on Christmas Day, everyone should have the opportunity to be seated around a table with family or friends and enjoy a festive dinner together,” said Eric Haverkamp, board chair of Church Out Serving. “For this reason, we are pleased to host anyone who is looking for a place to go on Christmas Day to savour a special meal and be with others in community.”

The 6 th annual Christmas Dinner hosted by Church Out Serving, complete with turkey, ham and all the trimmings, will be held on Dec. 25 at Riversyde 83 at 83 Sydenham St. in Simcoe. Doors open at 11 a.m. with the meal served at noon.
