A winter storm is making its way to Western Pennsylvania, with significant snowfall and freezing temperatures expected throughout the region this weekend.
The Pittsburgh area could see 4 or more inches of snowfall on Saturday, with some areas expected to see significantly more, according to the National Weather Service in Moon.
The snowfall is expected to begin in Western Pennsylvania between 3 and 5 p.m. and will continue through Sunday morning, between 3 and 7 a.m., forecasters predict.

Winter weather advisory
A winter weather advisory will be in effect from 1 p.m. Saturday to 1 p.m. Sunday in much of the region.
While Pittsburgh could see up to 5 inches of snow, areas closer to the ridges are forecast to receive up to 10 inches, according to the NWS.
