The attack unfolded at a UN base situated in the Abeche region of Sudan, as reported by Bangladeshi media sources, which referenced a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The Bangladesh Army is actively participating in the UN peacekeeping mission in Sudan, striving to restore stability in the conflict-afflicted nation. Tragically, six peacekeepers have paid the ultimate price in the line of duty, underscoring the perils faced by personnel in international peacekeeping roles.
