Heart of Midlothian are in talks over a surprise move for ex- Rangers kid Josh McPake.
McPake is currently tearing it up in the Scottish Championship for St Johnstone, having scored 12 goals in 17 games in the second tier this season.
The Premiership league leaders have now set their sights on the 24-year-old and will look to sign him on a pre-contract agreement, reports the Hearts Standard .
McPake penned a long-term deal at Rangers when he broke through under Steven Gerrard .
