An investigation is underway after police said a woman was shot in Philadelphia early Saturday morning.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 6:42 a.m., officers responded to a shooting on the 6600 block of Greenway Avenue.

Police said a woman had been shot and transported to a nearby hospital by medics for treatment.

The investigation into this incident is active and ongoing with the Shooting Investigation Group, police said.

Police have not yet revealed the motive behind this shooting.
