Congressman Wesley Hunt (TX 38) on Tuesday introduced the National Educator Safety and Accountability Act of 2025.
“As leaders, it is our responsibility to ensure the safety of our children as they receive their education. Under no circumstances should a school bypass a background check and vetting process during hiring.
We must guarantee that those who teach and aim to influence young minds are individuals with good intentions. We cannot allow groomers and sexual predators to access our children.
This legislation will provide an incentive for school districts to adopt measures that keep our children safe,” Hunt stated regarding the legislation he introduced.
