VERNON PARISH, La. (KALB) - A man from Leesville was fatally hit by a vehicle on Louisiana Highway 117 at Louisiana Highway 111 on Dec. 12, according to Louisiana State Police .

LSP said Brian L. Hardwick , 62, was walking in the road around 5:54 p.m. when he was hit by a southbound car.

Toxicology tests are pending as the incident remains under investigation.
