A motorcyclist is in critical condition after a collision between the motorcyclist and an unlicensed teen driver at the intersection of St. Francis Drive and Cerrillos Road Friday night, according to Santa Fe police.
A nearby patrolling officer arrived at the scene immediately around 9:30 p.m., finding an unconscious motorcyclist in the road, according to a police news release Saturday. The officer immediately rendered aid to the motorcyclist, a 24-year-old Santa Fe resident, and called paramedics.
The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital with severe head trauma and head injury and subsequently airlifted to University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, police said.
