The Dauphin County Coroner’s Office responded after a pedestrian was struck in West Hanover Township Saturday evening.
The crash happened around 5:20 p.m. about 300 feet west of Allentown Boulevard (US 22) and North Oak Grove Road.
An SUV with front-end damage was seen parked on the westbound lanes of Allentown Boulevard. As of Saturday night, it was unclear if it was the vehicle that struck the pedestrian.
Several firetrucks, police vehicles and fire police crews were in the area.
The name, age and address of the deceased person has not been publicly released as of Saturday.
Parts of North Oak Grove Road and Allentown Boulevard were closed when a PennLive reporter went to the area around 6 p.m. A PennDOT spokesperson said US 22 is closed between Clover Lane and Blue Ridge Avenue.
