CHARLOTTE — The Panthers added some depth for defense and special teams to the roster, and added a name to the injury report Saturday before leaving for New Orleans.
The team activated linebacker Isaiah Simmons from the practice squad by standard elevation.
It's the second elevation for the former top-10 pick from Clemson, who made his Panthers debut in the win over the Rams before the bye.
The team also added defensive tackle Tershawn Wharton to the injury report with a hamstring.
He's listed as questionable for the game.
Wharton is the only player on the report with an injury status, as the other five players listed this week are all clear to play Sunday against the Saints.
