Investigators have found "no evidence" of a shooting following reports a bike-riding gunman had blasted at a group of people. Merseyside Police said officers had initially been called to Thames Street, just off Kingsley Road in Toxteth , at around 4pm on Friday following reports that shots had been fired.

Police had initially been told that a man on a bike had shot at three people . But after extensive enquiries including CCTV, witness and forensic enquiries in the local area officers at this stage have found no evidence of a discharge and no shells or bullets have been recovered.
