STOCKBRIDGE TWP.— A 42-year-old Lansing man was seriously injured late Dec. 12 when his vehicle crashed into a tree and became fully engulfed in flames.
Deputies from the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to M-52 near Topping Road around 8:23 p.m. because of a single vehicle crash, they said in a release.
A preliminary investigation showed the vehicle was traveling on M-52 when it left the road way, struck a tree, and caught fire, trapping the driver inside.
"A Stockbridge officer and an Ingham County deputy were in the area and they arrived on scene within one minute," ICSO said in its release. "The driver was pulled out of the passenger side window. Three minutes after he was pulled to safety, the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames.”
