Thursday, Dec. 11 at UNC's Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill • 1A championship — Wilson Prep 9, Robbinsville 8 : The Robbinsville program was denied its 15th state title when Wilson Prep kicked its first field goal of the season for the game-winner with 20 seconds remaining. • 8A championship — Hough 21, Millbrook 0: Both teams were playing for the first state title in program history and Hough brought it home behind junior quarterback Ethan Royal's three touchdowns and sophomore linebacker Ryan Peterson's 10 tackles.
