Arne Slot has dismissed suggestions Mohamed Salah might have played his final game for Liverpool, insisting he considers the matter resolved following the Egyptian’s explosive comments about the Dutchman and the club after last weekend’s draw with Leeds United.
The forward was recalled to the Reds squad for Saturday’s win over Brighton & Hove Albion, having been left at home for the midweek victory over Inter Milan. And while he was again named on the substitutes’ bench, he impressed after being brought on in the first half for the injured Joe Gomez in what is his final game before he departs for the Africa Cup of Nations.
