A week after winning her first national title in cross country, Natasza Dudek decided to add another national championship to her impressive résumé.
Dudek, an elite cross country runner at Ann Arbor Pioneer High School, won her second national this season by winning the Brooks XC Championships race held in San Diego, CA at the Morley Field course.
Her time of 16 minutes, 55.5 seconds in the 5-kilometer race was enough to beat the runner-up time of 16:57.1 recorded by Blair Bartlett of Lawrenceville, N.J.
Dudek’s victory comes a week after she claimed the Nike XC Nationals invidual title in Portland, Ore., at the Glendoveer Golf Course. In that race, Dudek recorded a 16:50.1 to once again narrowly beat Bartlett, who finished with a time of 16:51.7.
