Traffic snarled on westbound I-94 Saturday afternoon in the north suburbs after a vehicle flipped during a crash that hospitalized three people and prompted the closure of three lanes, state police said.
Around 2:30 p.m., a car flipped in the roadway on westbound I-94 during a crash near West Everett Road in Lake County, according to Illinois State Police.
Illinois Department of Transportation traffic cameras in the area showed a heavy traffic backup as of 3:15 p.m.
The left three lanes of westbound I-94 were closed until 3:20 p.m., according to ISP.
Three occupants in the car were transported to a local hospital with injuries, authorities said.
No additional information was immediately available.
