The Boston Red Sox lost one of their own Saturday.
Dustin May came to an agreement with the St. Louis Cardinals, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan. It’ll be a one-year deal that is pending a physical , according to MLB Network’s Jon Heyman.
May, 28, was extremely underwhelming after being acquired at the trade deadline from the Los Angeles Dodgers — finishing with a 5.40 ERA across six total appearances before missing the postseason altogether after being placed on the injured list on Sept. 6.
May said he’s “fully back to normal” and that his elbow feels great in a recent interview with MassLive.
