SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) -One person was hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck by a car Friday night in Springfield.

Springfield police responded to the 1300 block of West Sunshine Street near Fort Avenue just before 10 p.m.

The driver is cooperating with the investigation and was not impaired, police said.

Police stated that the pedestrian was not in a designated crosswalk at the time of the accident.
