KIRKSVILLE — The Kirksville Police Department has identified the hunters involved in the the capsized boat incident at Hazel Creek Lake on Wednesday.

Kirksville residents Hunter Bender, 30, and Brandon Bergman, 43, were rescued from the water Wednesday and transported to Northeast Regional Medical Center.

Bender was treated and released from from the hospital. Bergman died the same day.

Emergency crews searched Hazel Creek Lake for the third victim on Wednesday and Thursday. Thursday morning investigators recovered the body of Jeff Watkins, 53, of Greentop.
