BIG RAPIDS, MI – The Ferris State University football team might as well purchase a timeshare in McKinney, Texas, at this point.
The top-ranked Bulldogs have traveled to the Lone Star State four times since 2018 to compete in the Division 2 national championship game and earned a fifth trip Saturday afternoon with a 49-17 rout of Newberry in the national semifinals.
The Ferris State defense forced six turnovers, including five interceptions, and the offense outgained the Wolves on the ground 368-8, as the Bulldogs celebrated a dominant home win at Top Taggart Field in Big Rapids.
No. 1 Ferris State (15-0) will face the winner of No. 2 Harding and No. 3 Kutztown in the Division 2 national championship game on Saturday, Dec. 20, at 4 p.m. on ESPN2.
