The Komets (14-5-2) are coming off arguably their worst loss of the season to the Kansas City Mavericks, who scored two extra-attacker goals to tie the game at 4 with under a minute to play before scoring off a turnover and taking a 5-4 lead with 11.7 seconds left. It was the Komets’ third loss after leading through two periods, matching Tahoe and Rapid City for the most in the ECHL.
