Syracuse, N.Y. - The Pride of Hofstra visited Saturday afternoon in the JMA Wireless Dome.
It was Syracuse’s second game in three days, which seemed weird after the previous nine-day span between games.
Hofstra has mostly struggled on the road this season, but it beat Pittsburgh at the Pete. The Pride was coming off a 92-23 pasting of Old Westbury, which I admit, I had to look up. (SUNY school that competes in DIII.)
First half: Syracuse 37, Hofstra 36. Final score: Hofstra 70, Syracuse 69 .
The Pride’s guards, Cruz Davis and Preston Edmead combined to score 34 points. Davis, in particular, was spectacular. 36
