LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) — The unrelenting Nebraska wind blew heavy snow Saturday morning, but those gathered at Wyuka Cemetery had warmth in their heart.

More than two million wreaths will be laid on the graves of fallen American service members this year, with more than 2,000 placed in Lincoln alone.

“The circle where we stand, like the circle of the wreath, is eternal, with no beginning and no end,” said Chief Master Sergeant Teri Clark.

Military members, veterans, cadets, friends and family stood underneath the waving stripes of the red, white and blue all to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
