Residents of Dahlonega, Georgia, gathered in celebration on Saturday as horses, dogs, and floats paraded through the town as part of the annual Christmas parade.
Known for its dedication to the holiday season, the small mountain town saw 400 people take part in the festivities across 35 floats, making this year’s parade the largest in its history.
Sam Johnson, who played the bagpipes during the parade, said the celebrations were decades old and the town and county have kept the tradition going since its inception.
"It is classic Norman Rockwell, small town mountain parade," said Jonson.
Among the participants was the Hester family, with Ellen and Margaret dressed as Elsa and Anna from the Disney film 'Frozen', while Joe wore a Jack Frost costume.
"My family dates back to the 1700s, and so Christmas is a big deal for our family," said Margaret Hester.
"Just being from a small town, it just brings everybody together for the fun atmosphere and just to be together."
