Donald Trump's administration was recently called out by Fox News on a key health metric, which led one scientist to note Saturday how important that issue must be.

Dr. Catharine Young, who served at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy as Assistant (and formerly Deputy Assistant) Director for Cancer Moonshot Engagement and Policy, this weekend highlighted a Fox News report in which the conservative outlet flagged a "concerning" trend happening right under the president's nose.

Journalist and radiologist Nicole Saphier appeared on Fox News, where she specifically addressed a recent rise in measles cases.

"This is very concerning. Absolutely. Lots of evidence of community spread of measles," she said. "Not just the east coast but throughout the country as well. We are seeing rising numbers, as you have mentioned, hundreds of kids and people who have been infected even more in quarantine. And to be honest this is somewhat expected."

That led to Young posting a screenshot from the show, and writing, "If Fox News is sounding the alarm…."

Hedge fund founder Spencer Hakimian, a frequent critic of Trump, also pounced, writing, "WOW. Fox News BLAMES RFK Jr. for RISING MEASLES RATES across the country."
