The Kansas City Chiefs are preparing to host the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday for a critical AFC West clash, widely labeled a must-win game for their playoff hopes.

The week has been dominated by negative availability updates severely impacting the Kansas City offense. On Friday, the Chiefs officially ruled out wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown (personal reasons), starting right guard Trey Smith (ankle), and right tackle Jawaan Taylor (triceps/knee).

Brown’s unexpected absence, combined with the continued unavailability of two Pro Bowl-caliber offensive linemen, forces rookie Esa Pole into a starting left tackle role and leaves the Chiefs dangerously thin on offense.
