The New York Jets have been at rock bottom for a while. But this time, one of their most well-known and beloved fans has decided that this year was the last straw.
Not only have the Jets clinched a 10th straight losing season, but their postseason drought has been extended to 15 years. This is the longest active NFL drought by a country mile, with the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers tied for the second-longest at eight seasons.
When your franchise struggles for an extended period, you must at least find ways to maintain healthy relationships with your loyal fans. But that has never been the case with New York Jets owner Woody Johnson.
As a result, one of the Jets’ most passionate fans will no longer attend home games after this season.
