DULUTH — Saturdays are not for the Bulldogs.
Fifth-ranked Minnesota Duluth lost its fourth consecutive series finale, falling 6-3 to Arizona State on Saturday in NCHC play at Amsoil Arena.
UMD (14-6 overall, 7-5 NCHC) is undefeated in series openers at 10-0 this season, but now 4-6 in the finale on Saturday, including 1-5 on Saturdays in NCHC play.
Junior wing Braden Fischer, sophomore wing Max Plante and freshman wing Daniel Shlaine scored for the Bulldogs. It was the first goal and point in seven games this season for Fischer.
