HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Honolulu Police Department is investigating reports of gunshots in the Kalihi Valley area.

According to police, on Friday, just after 11 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunshots in the Kalihi Valley Homes area. Several unoccupied parked vehicles were later found with bullet holes.

No one was hurt.

HPD said they are also examining whether the reported drive-by shooting may be related to the recent murder investigation in Halawa .

The department released these public safety tips:

If you hear gunshots or see suspicious activity, move to a safe location and call 911.

Avoid loitering in parking lots or open areas in and around Kalihi Valley Homes and Halawa Housing.

Stay aware of your surroundings and report suspicious activity.
